Brownbag Lunch Film & Discussion Series: “La ley del deseo” (‘Law of Desire”)
When: Thursday, October 8, from 11:30-1:00

Movie directed by world-acclaimed Spanish director Pedro Almodovar, “La ley del deseo” focuses on a complex love triangle between three men. This 1987 picture follows the more serious tone set by Almodovar work in the 1986 “Matador”, exploring the ways in which society represses an individual’s true desires with tragic consequences. Gay Pride Week 2009 @ WVU
Pride Week is a series of events designed to promote visibility of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and allied community at WVU, to raise awareness about issues of importance to that community, and to have a little fun while we’re at it.
We have planned a series of events, speakers, and panels that we think will appeal to a wide variety of students, faculty, and staff at WVU. We will try to provide a little something for everyone. We hope you’ll join us at as many of our events as you can!

Safe Zone provides students, faculty, and staff with access to more easily discernable individuals who are available to provide support and knowledge. WVU’s Safe Zone symbol is a visual message to all that a campus community member has participated in Safe Zone training and is committed to fostering an atmosphere of support and celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning individuals on the WVU campus. The President’s Office for Social Justice supports the mission of Safe Zone and supports its training sessions. Sessions are included in the President’s Office for Social Justice’s Diversity Week lineup every year.
