Each fall, the President’s Office for Social Justice proudly sponsors a week of events and activities where participants can celebrate the diversity that benefits all and learn of the traditions and customs from near and far. This year’s event focused on Building an Inclusive Community and was collaboratively planned by:
Monongalia County School System
The City of Morgantown
WVU President’s Office for Social Justice
This year, Diversity Week was held October 17-24. Some forty events were scheduled, including lectures, trainings, group exercise classes, concerts, film showings, brown bag lunch discussions, workshops, wellness activities, and musical and dance performances. The campus and community participated as together we “Let It Shine”.
If you have any questions or concerns, or would like to talk about scheduling an event for next year’s Diversity Week, please contact our Events Coordinator, Sharon Mallow, at (304) 293-5496 or Sharon.Mallow@mail.wvu.edu.
