Who has inspired you?

Tessa | October 28th, 2009

For over 25 years, the Women of Color Day Luncheon has been an annual event. The President’s Office for Social Justice is pleased to sponsor the WVU Council for Women’s Concerns.

This year’s keynote speaker was Dr. Sadie R. Gregory, an economics professor at Coppin State University in Baltimore, Md. In addition, Balafon West African Dance Ensemble directed by Kadiatou Conté-forte, a native of the Republic of Ghana provided entertainment.

The Council for Women’s Concerns promotes equality of women in the academic and local communities and deals with current events and the evolving response to women’s issues. For more information on how you can get involved with the CWC, contact Vickie Trickett, Chair at 293-7804 or check out the CWC website at http://www.as.wvu.edu/cwc/.

Tell us…Who is a WVU woman who has inspired you and how has she made a positive impact on your life?
